The Center for Black Church Studies will host a conversation with social justice leader, advocate, and activist Tamika Mallory. Mallory will speak about her personal journey as a woman of faith and discuss her role as a rising leader within contemporary social justice movements.

Mallory is a prominent voice on issues related to civil rights, equal rights for women, healthcare, gun violence, and police misconduct. In January of this year, she gained recognition as one of four co-chairs for the Women’s March on Washington. She has been applauded as “a leader of tomorrow” by the Obama administration and has landed on the lists of TIME 100: The Most Influential People of 2017 as well as Fortune’s World’s Greatest Leaders.
